Every puppy I breed leaves me with a contract, which is signed by myself and the new owner. This hopefully covers all eventualities for the dogs future, and is done to protect all parties, but especially the dog itself!
Every pup is registered with the K.C. and , in common with most responsible breeders , the registration carries the endorsements "X" and "R", which mean that the puppy is not eligible for Export nor are its progeny eligible for registration. This is done to PROTECT the pup and the breed ..... not as some backyard breeders would say because we 'want a monopoly' ??!!
If a puppy leaves me as a potential show/breeding prospect, and matures into a good example of the breed, with a sound temperament; and it undergoes the correct veterinary tests appropriate at that time and passes/ has a good enough score, AND it is going to be mated to an other of the same breed with compatible bloodlines and a good health tested record... then I will lift the endorsement happily, in fact I have never yet turned down a request to do so!
The new owner also agrees that if at ANY time in its lifetime they are unable to keep it , for whatever reason they are to return the dog to me ....... I breed it , therefore it is my responsibility!
I am very fussy where my puppies go... so be prepared to answer a lot of questions!!
In return I will try to answer any you might have.... and will continue to help and advise you throughout your dogs lifetime.
